People love their pets and a local couple is hoping to use that to help a local pet rescue group, Vernon County People for Pets, by using their talents to help people enjoy their pets more.
John and Tanya Jones have a business that normally serves architects and advertisers as customers, but for this, anyone can use their services.
"Normally we do architectural renderings, Web site design and things like that," Tanya said. "For this we can take a picture of a pet and make it better. One of the pictures we've done is of a little boy. In the original picture he was standing in front of a refrigerator and he was holding his hands a little strange. My husband put a beautiful bridge in the background and the boy is now holding a fishing rod and fish."
The couple will donate 30 percent of their profits from the project to Vernon County People For Pets, a local animal welfare group that formed earlier this year.
Tanya said the cost of a picture restoration would vary based on the size of the picture and what is involved in the restoration, and can cost as much as $300.
The time it takes to get a picture back depends on several factors, such as what the customer wants done, the other jobs the couple are doing and more.
Tanya said she is proud she and her husband are helping the group.
"The money will go to neuter, spay and vaccinate the stray animals," Tanya said. "We are glad to do this and I think it is better than just making a donation, we can help more animals this way. When you join efforts with others you get better results."
