On not taking action

Dear editor:

This letter is to all persons who were standing outside of a local restaurant on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at around 1:30 in the afternoon. I want to thank all of you upstanding and caring citizens and non-citizens who stood there and watched as two unknown persons assaulted my granddaughter. They were a man and woman with California tags on their silver sporty-looking car. I am hoping that I can return the favor sometime.
