Hopkins-Simrell family hold 69th reunion at Walker, Mo

The 69th Hopkins-Simrell reunion was held on, Sunday, Aug. 13, in the Walker Community Building, in Walker, Mo. Lunch was served at noon with Weldon Cully saying grace for the abundance of food.
Election of new officers was this year. Merle Simrell is president and Ethan Hopkins was elected secretary.
It was voted to have the 2007 reunion on the second Sunday in August, at Walker, Mo., and the family hopes to make next year's reunion a big one, for it will be the 70th Hopkins-Simrell reunion.
Gifts were distributed for the following: oldest person present, Addie (Hopkins) Brown, at 93 years; youngest, Jordan Simrell, at 3 months (son of Merle and Orpha Simrell); married the longest, Henry and Zita Mae (Garland) Curtis, 58 years; youngest married, Brian and Karen (Greever) Umphenour, 3 years.
