Sheldon, Mo. -- The Sheldon Christian Church will be hosting the Show-Me Christian Youth Home children and organization on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 at 10:30 a.m.
The presentation, titled "Extreme! 4 Christ" is a 30-minute musical drama aimed toward teens and adults. The program is open to the public.
The Show-Me Christian Youth Home is dedicated to promoting the individual development of each child spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically. Children are helped by childcare staff to confront their personal issues and start the healing process to build a bright future. They live in a home environment with house parents and have licensed counselors available to them.
Show-Me Christian Youth Home was formed as a nonprofit corporation in 1967 to receive, educate and protect neglected children.
In 1993, the El Dorado Springs home and 40-acre farm was donated.
Located near the Vernon and Cedar County lines, the home continues to present a safe haven and stable Christian environment for neglected children under the guidelines of the Show-Me Children Youth Home organization.
