Faye Imogene Gibson
Faye Imogene Gibson, 82, Walker, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada, Mo., following a short illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Nevada, to Robert W. Schnedler and Nellie G. Davis Schnedler. She was married to Ernest E. Gibson on Feb. 15, 1941, in Nevada. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1985.
Imogene grew up in Nevada and attended Nevada schools. She worked as a waitress for many years at the 54 Cafe and Carol's Diner in Nevada. She was a member of the Milo Baptist Church, Milo, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Kratz and Gary Stukesbary, Walker, and Carol Ann Hendrix, Walker; three sons, Robert Eugene Gibson and his wife Linda, Falls City, Neb., Jerry Lee Gibson and his wife Katherine, Shula, Mo., and Charles Ernest Gibson and his wife Pamala, Steedman, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Leroy Schnedler, Medford, Ore. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Robert Schnedler; and one sister, Virginia Klumpp.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m, on Friday, Sept. 29, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends 7-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, at the funeral home.
