The Nevada Lady Tiger tennis team beat Fort Scott Tuesday, 8-1.
Playing in Fort Scott, Nevada's Whitley del Rosario (8-1), Molly Ferree (8-6), Anita van Rooyan (8-5), and Elise McNeil (8-2) all earned singles victories.
Getting her first varsity singles win of the season was Nicole Foreman, beating Carly Hyer 8-1.
The win allows Foreman, a freshman, to earn a varsity letter for the season.
"I suppose the most exciting thing was Nicole Foreman getting her first win," Nevada head coach Dennis Pendrak said. "The girls were pretty excited about it."
Nevada swept doubles, with their only loss at No. 3 singles.
"They all did a good job," Pendrak said. "They just need to keep their confidence up."
Pendrak said the team is trying to sharpen up a little with district play right around the corner.
"Still, we're looking for consistency," he said. "We've been playing a little bit better."
Nevada will be participating in a tournament at Thomas Jefferson in Joplin later this week.
