Hart -- Stevens Wed
Samantha Beth Hart and Robert Eugene Stevens were married on Aug. 12, 2006, at the First Church of God in Fort Scott.
Samantha is the daughter of Kirk and Jeanie Hart and the granddaughter of Perry and Betty Dobbins and the late Freda Dobbins of Fort Scott, and the late Wilbur and Helen Hart of Uniontown. Robert is the son of Robert and Vera Stevens of South Carolina. The couple lives in Parsons, Kan.
The wedding ceremony was officiated by Jared Witt, a family friend, and assisted by Phil Wilson. Ronette Center attended the guest book. Morgan and Blair Croan, cousins of the bride, seated guests. Darcy Baldonado was the pianist. Ceremony candles were lighted by Zach Wheeler. Ray Dobbins, great-uncle of the bride, voiced the dinner prayer.
Zach Wheeler, Hayley Kruse and Chase Comstock were helpers at the dinner and reception following the ceremony. Dinner was catered by Chicken Mary's and the wedding cakes were made by Cassie Swank. A two-tiered bride's cake and a chocolate groom's cake decorated with woodworking tools was served. Marie Wheeler made the mints in burgundy and green. A silver candelabra with burgundy candles decorated the cake table. The cakes and a lime sherbet punch were served by Gayla Croan, aunt of the bride, and Morgan and Blair Croan. Marie Wheeler and Bob and Shirley Burcham served the dinner. Round tables with either white or mint green cloths decorated with mirrors, candles and confetti were enjoyed in the fellowship hall of the church.
Matt and Julie Townsend filmed a video of the wedding. Connie Neil and Ken Wheeler took the photographs. Eric Baldonado was in charge of the sound system.
Samantha served as a police officer in Fort Scott and recently as the school resource officer. She left Fort Scott to be married and live in Parsons.
