It was a very good year

Nevada Middle School students delved into popular culture of the year they were born -- 1992 -- for the time-honored tradition of the Wax Museum, a project in which student pick a figure from history, research that character's life, build a display and find props and costumes that help them portray that figure in an elaborate display and performance shared with the public last night in a special presentation.
Sports figures, politicians, artists, writers, performers and athletes were featured, with students often keying in on a catch phrase or particular moment in that historical figure's life. For example, "Snakes, why do there always have to be snakes?" Ty Peckman, as Harrison Ford, asked viewers, using a memorable line from the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
In all, 39 icons of the era were researched by students for the event. The museum was also presented in the Nevada Middle School lobby for students, during the school day.
