Richard "Dick" D. Beeny

Richard "Dick" D. Beeny, 65, passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, in the state of Oregon. He was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Sheldon, Mo. to George Bernard Beeny and Virginia White Beeny. He was married June 23, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo. to Joyce Turk, and she survives of the home.

Richard was born and reared in Sheldon, and graduated from Sheldon High School in 1959. He was a member of the Sheldon Christian Church. He moved to the Tualatin, Ore., area in 1963 and lived the remainder of his life there.

In addition to his wife Joyce, survivors include one son, Rick Beeny; one daughter, Barbara Tease; four grandchildren, Brad and Britton Beeny and Laura and Jessie Tease; one sister Ginger Myers. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard, in 2003; and his mother, Virginia, in 1974.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Sheldon Christian Church in Sheldon.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made, in his memory, to the Sheldon Old Settlers Picnic Fund or the Sheldon Christian Church, both in care of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
