Randall Lee Collins Jr.
Randall Lee Collins Jr., 35, was born on March 31, 1971, in El Dorado Springs. Randy perished in a early morning house fire Feb. 17, 2007, along with his mother, Elaine Collins, and daughter, Alexis.
He attended school in El Dorado Springs and later became a third generation truck driver -- following in his father and grandfather's footsteps. He was the proud daddy of Randy III and Alexis Ann. Randy enjoyed trucking, helping others, and spending time with his two children.
Randy is survived by son, Randall Collins III, age 9 of El Dorado Springs; fiancé, Lonna Townsend; father, Randall L. Collins Sr.; and sisters, Diana Hudson, El Dorado Springs, Donna Stewart, Walnut Grove, Mo., Dorothy Graves, Cole Camp, Mo., Bonnie Bowman, El Dorado Springs, and Brenda Vandenberg, Springfield, Mo.; his paternal grandmother, Maretta Collins, Osceola, Mo.; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m., at Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, with the Rev. James Coleman officiating. Interment was in Yeater Cemetery.
Musical selections were "Tears in Heaven," "Old Rugged Cross," "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," "Go Rest High On That Mountain," and were provided by Marlene Scotten and Dale Lipe.
Pallbearers were Donnie Drake, John Goodwin, David Hoffman, Ronnie Alexander, John Butler and Jonathon Butler. Honorary pallbearers were Jessica Allen, Amanda Bowman, Brendan Vandenberg, Anakin Stewart, Dorothy Jane Graves, Rylee Bowman, Randall Lee Collins III and Bella Stewart.
