Vera B. (Davis) Faulconer
Vera B. (Davis) Faulconer, 85, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the Green Haven Nursing Home in Springfield, Mo. She was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Montevallo, Mo., to Ed Davis and Theo Opal Kinney Davis. She was married June 11, 1941, in Rich Hill, Mo., to William A. Faulconer and he died June 29, 1951.
Vera was a lifelong resident of Vernon County. She worked for a number of years at Montgomery Ward in Nevada, and for Sears in Nevada for over 25 years. She also worked for tile Nevada Elks Lodge No. 564 for many years. She served as secretary of the First Christian Church in Nevada for over 37 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeanett Fritter and husband Donald, Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Mitchell Hillier, Schell City, Mo,. Michelle Mott, the state of Indiana; three great-grandchildren. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, spouse; three brothers, Clyde Davis, Claude Davis and Clayton Davis; and one sister Wilma Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada with the Rev. Phil Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday between 7-8 p.m.
