FORT SCOTT, Kan. -- Fort Scott High School's varsity baseball and softball doubleheaders at Pittsburg, originally scheduled for Thursday, have both been rescheduled for Wednesday.
Fort Scott High's baseball team hasn't played since opening the season March 26 at Nevada. But with the rescheduling of the Pittsburg doubleheader, the Tigers are now scheduled to play six games in seven days. On April 13, Fort Scott will host Girard in a non-league doubleheader that was pushed back by rain on March 30. Then on April 17, the Tigers will travel to Independence for a regularly-scheduled Southeast Kansas League doubleheader.
Fort Scott's softball team has only played two games this year, both Wednesday in their home tournament. Now they will play league twinbills on consecutive days as they are also set to host Parsons Tuesday.
