Nice try baseball guys

The Nevada Tiger baseball team attempted to play a pair of games in Carthage Thursday because the field at Lyons Stadium has been unplayable this week due to all the recent rain. The Tigers were supposed to "host" McDonald County and Carthage in a pair of Southwest Conference games at Carl Lewton Field. James Tumm (pictured) and the Tigers started the first game against McDonald County but couldn't even get three innings in before the rain once again forced Nevada to cancel the contests. With the district tournament beginning Monday, it is doubtful Nevada will get to play another regular season game this year. The Tigers are 5-9, with seven regular season games and a tournament in McDonald County all washed away by the wet spring.
