Knights graduate

Northeast Vernon County High School held its graduation ceremony Saturday afternoon at the Walker Campus with a large crowd attending. Kathy Newman played the processional. Jessica Arduser gave the welcome and Dana Eslinger opened the ceremony.
Jana Vaughn, high school counselor, presented the honor students and scholarships were presented to several students. Leo Flint, salutatorian, gave an address, followed by another address given by Dexter Patton, who is the class of 2007 valedictorian.
Charles Naas, superintendent of schools, introduced the guest speaker, Gene Gray, pastor of the Schell City Baptist Church. Gray urged the class to dream, and follow those dreams with wise choices in all they do.
Brad Landoll, high school principal, presented the class who were presented their diplomas by Mike Newman, NEVC Board of Education, with two exchanges of school board members, Bobby Haddix, and Diane Eslinger, who presented diplomas to their children. Ryan Steward gave the closing.
