Bronaugh man arrested for alleged sex crime that made use of the Internet

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office arrested a Bronaugh resident Aug. 28, for possession of child pornography, a Class D felony, and enticement of a child, a Class C felony. Mark B. Jackson, 46, is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bond, according to a VCSO report released this moring..

Vernon County Sheriff Ron Peckman said the charge states that between April 12, 2005, and June 9, 2005, Jackson "attempted to pursuade, solicit, coax, entice, or lure a person less than 15 years of age to engage in sexual conduct with him by communication over the Internet."

Details of the investigation have not yet been released.
