Lady Tiger tennis victorious

Over the weekend, Nevada Lady Tiger tennis claimed another win. For a match on Staurday, the girls traveled to Harrisonville, Mo., for Harrisonville High School's annual tennis tournament.

Elise McNeil and Daven Smith represented Nevada in the singles bracket. McNeil secured third place and Smith claimed sixth place.

Representing Nevada in doubles play were the teams of Molley Ferree and Whitley del Rosario, and Danielle Hadler and Megan Stacy. Nevada closed out the doubles bracket with the two teams playing each other in the finals. Ferree and del Rosario were successful in the end, taking first place. Hadler and Stacy won second place.

Overall, the Lady Tigers won first place at the tournament, which consisted of Harrisonville, Clinton and Nevada.

Nothing stopped the determined girls … except for a short rain delay.
