Photo contest extended; new deadline is Oct. 19

The Sunday Herald-Tribune's Your Newspaper, Start Here photo contest has been extended.

Readers now have until 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 19, to submit original photographs for the contest. First prize for the contest is a $50 gas card, plus a gift certificate good for the purchase of Nevada Daily Mail, Fort Scott Tribune or Sunday Herald-Tribune photographs on www.fstribune.com or www.nevadadailymail.com. Rules are simple: To be eligible for the contest, photos must somehow incorporate the Sunday Herald-Tribune, the Fort Scott Tribune or the Nevada Daily Mail; and entries must be accompanied, by the name, address and phone number of the photographer.

The winning photo will also be published in the Sunday Herald-Tribune on Oct. 21.
