Betty Lou Howard

Betty Lou Howard, 81, Nevada, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Nanty Glo, Pa., to William Donaldson and Olive O’Laughlin Donaldson. She was married Dec. 15, 1956, in Newport Beach, Calif., to Lionel Howard and he survives of the home.

Mrs. Howard was born in Pennsylvania, but grew up and resided in California until moving to Vernon County in 1976. She worked for 11 years at the Fram Corporation in Nevada. She was a wonderful artist, seamstress and an avid crafts person.

In addition to her husband Lionel, she is survived by two sons, Joe Donaldson, Orange, Calif., and Peter Donaldson, Campbell, Calif.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death, by her parents and one son, David.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Mark Harwell officiating. Interment will follow at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
