Jason W. Blight - Ashley D. Carter

Ashley Dawn Carter and Jason Wayne Blight announced their engagement Aug. 11, 2007. Ashley is the daughter of Randy and Leah Carter of Fort Scott, Kan. She graduated from Fort Scott High School in 2000. After high school she attended College of the Ozarks near Branson, Mo. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Middle School Education. Ashley teaches eighth grade social studies at Nevada Middle School.

Jason is the son of Wayne and Cathy Blight of Centerview, Mo. Jason graduated from Crest Ridge High School in 1996. He then attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and received a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education with an emphasis in Youth Ministry. He has also received a Master's in Educational Ministries from Wheaton College. Jason is the youth minister at First Baptist Church Nevada.

The couple will be wed on Nov. 24, 2007, at First Baptist.
