Ruby G. Bailey
Ruby G. Bailey, 98, Nevada, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada. She was born June 18, 1909, in Long Run, Mo., the daughter of the Rev. Joel Z. and Minnie Elizabeth Hobbs.
On April 23, 1927, Ruby Hobbs was married to Cecil W. Bailey, in Gainesville, Mo., and he preceded her in death in 1973.
Mrs. Bailey graduated from Moler School of Cosmetology in St. Louis, and was a beautician in Salem, Mo., for 25 years. At the time of her death, Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nevada. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Ruby is survived by one daughter, Betty Wynn and her husband Bill, Nevada, three grandchildren, Sherrie Bell, Sheila Wynn and Bill Wynn III and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Amos Hobbs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil Bailey, three brothers, Estel Hobbs, Loring Hobbs and Trellis Hobbs.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Salem, Mo., with Dr. William Cox officiating.
Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, until 8 p.m., Sunday evening.
The family suggests that memorials may be made in her honor to the American Diabetes Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
