Hornets win big over Ballard
The Hume Hornets easily outdistanced Ballard Friday night, winning 65-31 and extending their season record to 10-2 overall and remaining undefeated in conference play at 4-0.
Hume held a 14-2 lead after the first period and led 28-22 at the half, however, in the third period Hume unleashed a fury of 26 points to Ballard's two and capped the night with 11 in the fourth quarter to seven for Ballard.
Cameron Hinton led the Hornets with 19 points, including three treys, closely followed by Clinton Irwin with 18 points and Ryan Austin with 16 points, including four treys; Cody Franklin scored four points, Andy Yarick and Jordan Leighty each scored three points and Kris Sears scored two points.
J. Mead led Ballard with 14 points and went 4-6 at the charity stripe.
