One-car crash injures two

A single vehicle accident in the underpass just east of Osage near the White Grill forced emergency crews to shut down the street for about 40 minutes on Monday. At about 10:03 a.m., a silver Mercury Cougar traveling west on Underpass swerved across both lanes and struck one of the structural pillars supporting the bridge, head on. The car was driven by Tina Myers and had one passenger, Kelly Robertson. Both were listed with evident but not disabling injuries. A bottle labeled as Jagermeister liquor sat near the vehicle; however, authorities declined to comment as to whether it came from within the car or not. Inattention is listed as the cause of the wreck.
