Local pesticide appplicator classes coming to area soon
Ag producers who need to obtain or renew a private pesticide applicator license can attend one of the following training sessions provided through University of Missouri Extension. Due to a change in the rules, renewals will no longer be able to be done by picking up the booklet and completing the worksheet from the Extension Center. Producers will need to attend a training class to recertify. This class also completes the EPA worker protection training program for ag employees who handle pesticides. University of Missouri Extension programs are open to everyone. For more information, contact Pat Miller, agronomy specialist, at (417) 448-2560. Let the extension know of any special needs. In case of bad weather the classes may be rescheduled.
