An EagleMed life flight chopper arrived at about 1:45 p.m. yesterday at the Nevada Regional Medical Center to transport the second patient in less than three months to be involved in a serious accident on a construction site just East of the Wal-Mart parking lot. The site is slated to become a strip mall owned by Barry Clark. The worker was said to have fallen off the building, similar to an accident which took place at the same site on Dec. 8. Nevada Public Safety Officer Gary Herstein said police did take pictures at the scene but were not conducting an official investigation since the accident took place on a private work site. Jean Williams of the Kansas City OSHA office said they did not believe an investigation took place after the Dec. 8 accident and that they would generally not be involved unless the incident resulted in a fatality.
