Loyd Ronald "Ronny" Overman

Loyd Ronald "Ronny" Overman, age 65, of Sheldon, passed away on April 19, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, following a lengthy illness. He was born on July 1, 1942, in Nevada, to William Loyd Overman and Edith Edeana Chrisenbery Overman. He married Marilyn Wallace on Nov. 30, 1962, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

Ronny was born and reared in Vernon County and spent most of his life here. He worked as a painter at the Nevada Habilitation Center for 20 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Christian Church and a charter member of the Eagles Lodge No. 3770.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Marilyn, include; two sons Mark Overman and his wife Lynna, of Sheldon, and Brad Overman, of Sheldon; six grandchildren; and one sister Kay Christy, of Nevada. He was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Overman.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 23, at the Sheldon Cemetery, in Sheldon. Friends may call now and until 10 a.m., on Wednesday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
