Eugene Ray Baldwin

Eugene Ray Baldwin, 70, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Kindred Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., following a lengthy illness. He was born March 4, 1938, in Nevada, to Roy William Baldwin and Rachel Allen Baldwin. He married Frances N. Shutters on July 20, 1970, in Nevada, and she survives of the home.

Eugene was a lifelong resident of Nevada and attended Nevada schools. He worked at Key Industries and Kelwood Tent Factory, in Nevada for several years and Nevada State Hospital for 17 years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife Frances, survivors include one son, Roy Baldwin and his wife Shanna, of Nevada, seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marie Kile and two brothers, Lawrence Baldwin and Roy Baldwin.

Memorial services will be held at Pentecostal Assembly, in Nevada, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 6, with Shelby Brant officiating. Committal will be held at 2 p.m., in Newton Burial Park, in Nevada. Friends may call now and until 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday at Ferry Funeral Home.
