Summer reading program begins at the library

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

The Nevada Public Library's summer reading program begins soon, when local students who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade will have a chance to "Catch the Reading Bug."

Readers can sign up at the library, at the corner of Walnut and Ash, now through May 28. Students set a reading goal for the month of June, keep track of reading and receive a prize when goals are met. Certificates also will be awarded to students who complete the requirements.

Programs will be presented each Tuesday in June, at 1:30 p.m., at the community center.

For information, call the library at (417) 448-2770.
