Feuquay, NRMC earn award
Quorum Health Resources recently recognized Judith Feuquay, President and CEO of Nevada Regional Medical Center for Best Overall Performance in its category. The award was announced at the QHR Annual CEO Conference held June 4 and 5 in Franklin, Tenn.
"The hospital's financial stability, services and reputation have grown dramatically under Judy's watch," noted QHR President and CEO, James L. Horrar.
Feuquay has been a QHR CEO for the past 16 years, serving as President and CEO at NRMC for the past four years. The hospital, which has ranked no. 1 nationally and regionally for the past year on the QHR Comparative Indicator Benchmarks report, has achieved significant results in the 2008 fiscal year. Among the key operating indicators, Feuquay led the hospital to 220 days cash on hand, a total operating margin of 8.6 percent and an EBITDA of 18.6 percent. Horrar added, "We monitor these indicators monthly to assure that QHR hospital clients are successful."
In addition, Feuquay has recruited nine new physicians and added nine new visiting specialists covering 12 specialty areas. New services that have been added include an expansion of the behavioral health unit from 12 to 22 beds, industrial medicine service, telemedicine service, chaplaincy service and additional services in the Wound and Skin Management Center.
Feuquay is active in many state healthcare organizations, serving as the chair elect for the SW Region of the Missouri Hospital Association, secretary for the Missouri Management Services Corporation, member of the Claims Committee and the Board of the Missouri Health Services Group and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Locally, Feuquay serves on the United Way Board and is active in the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club.
