June 27

There were reports of fireworks in the Sheldon area, a stranded motorist in the Moundville area, a domestic assault in the Schell City area, a traffic stop in the Schell City area, cows out in the Horton area, a road hazard in the Nevada area, a vehicle accident in the Arthur area, a controlled burn in the Milo area, a theft in the Nevada area, a disturbance in the Bronaugh area, a controlled burn in the Arthur area, an animal in the Nevada area, a controlled burn in the Milo area, a juvenile in the Nevada area, suspicious activity in the Walker area, suspicious activiy in the Walker area, a traffic stop in the Nevada area and a domestic assault in the Horton area.

Randall W. Ashley, 42, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of assault and resisting arrest. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Robert L. Groves, 44, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Nevada Police Department on charges of failure to appear for possession of marijuana. He is being held in lieu of a $600 bond.

There were reports of horses out in the Montevallo area, a vehicle accident in the Horton area, an alarm in the Nevada area, a vehicle accident in the Walker area, an agency assist in the Nevada area, an alarm in the Nevada area, a deceased person in the Harwood area, a road hazard in the El Dorado Springs area, an alarm in the Nevada area, no electricity in the Richards area, items in the middle of the highway in the U.S. Highway 71 area, a juvenile in the Milo area, vehicular assault in the Richards area, public nudity in the Schell City area, a road washed out in the Dederick area, a vehicle accident in the Nevada area, threats in the Nevada area, an alarm in the Nevada area and a vehicle vs. deer in the Nevada area.

There were reports of three traffic stops in the Nevada area, a traffic accident in the Montevallo area, driving in a conservation area at Bushwhacker Lake, a license found in the Nevada area, debris in the roadway in the Compton Junction area, an ambulance request in the Moundville area, fighting and drunk driving in the Nevada area, a lost dog in the Nevada area, and a traffic stop in the Nevada area.

David E. Mealman, 25, of Nevada, was arrested and processed by the Vernon County Sheriff's Office on charges of non-support in Cass County and probation violation in Bates County.
