"We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice and ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and, ensure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America." So begins the nation's Constitution, which is celebrated with Constitution Day, Sept. 17, the anniversary of its signing. Activities are planned at schools across the nation during Constitution Week, Sept. 17-23.
