Seventh grade volleyball falls in Carthage

The Nevada Middle School seventh grade volleyball A and B teams competed against Carthage on Monday.

Carthage was able to take both matches in two sets, but the Tigers were able to hold on and keep them reasonably close. In the B match, Carthage took the first set in dominant fashion with a final score of 12-25.

The Tigers were able to put up more of a fight in set two, but fell just short as Carthage took it by a final score of 23-25. The A team was able to keep up throughout the match, but fell just short in both sets, losing the first 20-25 and the second 23-25.

The Tigers are scheduled to be in action again today as they host Lamar.
