Louella Lipoglav
Louella Lipoglav, 80 of Yale, Kan., died at 11:49 a.m., Friday, Oct.10, 2008, at her home following a long illness.
She was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Yale, to Charles and Ann (Rehak) Pichler where her parents started Chicken Annie's Original. She attended school in Yale and graduated from the Frontenac High School with the class of 1945.
On July 15, 1945, she was united in marriage to Louis Lipoglav, in Gainesville, Texas, he survives her of the home.
Louella and her husband lived in Ringo from 1945 to 1961 when they moved to Yale.
She was owner and operator of Chicken Annie's Original from 1961 until her retirement.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society. Additional memberships include the American Legion of Arma and a 50-year member of S.N.P.J.
Survivors include her husband, Louis of 63 years; son, Lonnie Lipoglav and his wife Janice; daughter: Donna Lipoglav, all of Yale; sister, Wilma Cicero of Pittsburg; several nieces and nephews and Ann Cheney, who helped provide for her care. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Carl Pichler and an infant sister Anna Irene.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., today at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert McElwee as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Parish rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac, where family will receive friends following the rosary.
