Police department honors Gayman

In the city council chambers, filled to overflowing with friends and co-workers, Police Chief Gary Herstein presents the license plates off of the car driven by Sergeant Steve Gayman to his wife, Errica, on Tuesday. Gayman, a 14-year veteran of the department, was killed in an automobile accident Sept. 18. Herstein said that in his honor, Gayman's badge number would never again be used by the Nevada Police Department. Herstein praised Gayman's service and said that although the ceremony honoring him was short, it was heartfelt and sincere.

this was very nice and sweet. but can someone tell me the reason why the higher powers will not allow the police officers to use the small decal on there cars in memory of sgt gayman? it is black and very small. and is just a small way these men can pay tribute to this wonderful officer they lost. i did see one of these on one of the officers cars. i thought it was extremely nice and honoring. then when i saw the car again. the decal was gone??? what gives?
