Middle school football splits Joplin

The Nevada Middle School seventh grade A and B teams competed against Joplin at Logan Field Tuesday night.

The B team played first and ended the night with a scoreless game that ended in a tie, 0-0. The tie brings the B team's record to 0-2-2 on the year.

The A team had a bit of a harsher experience on the night as they fell to Joplin 12-0. The loss drops the A team's record to 1-3 on the year.

Both teams are scheduled to be in action again on Tuesday, Oct. 21, as they travel to Neosho with a kickoff time set at 5:30 p.m.
