Robert Leander Jones

Robert Leander Jones, 80, formerly of Nevada, and Ocala, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, in Aurora, Mo. He was born in Nevada to Earl and Marie Tyree Jones.

Robert was born and reared in Nevada, and graduated from Nevada, High School in 1946. He lived his entire adult life in Ocala, Fla., where he trained and showed horses. He moved back to Nevada in 2007 and lived the past seven months in Aurora, Mo.

Survivors include three brothers, Francis Jones, Springfield, Mo., Norman Jones, Ocala, Fla., and Leo Jones, Nevada; three sisters, Allene Tye, Nevada, Mamie Skinner, Ocala, Fla., and Bonnie VanWee, Aurora, Mo. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Smith and Evelyn Knapp.
