Pearce receives NRA endorsement
In recognition of his strong support for the Second Amendment and the rights of sportsmen and law-abiding citizens, Republican candidate David Pearce has received the endorsement of the National Rifle Association in the 31st State Senate District.
"Pearce has proven to be a true friend of law-abiding Missouri firearm owners and hunters and he has earned the endorsement of the NRA-PVF in the Nov. 4, 2008, General Election," said Chris Cox, NRA-ILA Executive Director and NRA-PVF Chairman. "Law-abiding Missourians have an ally in David Pearce, and they can count on him to continue his efforts to protect and promote the Second Amendment in the Missouri Senate."
During his tenure in the Missouri House of Representatives, David Pearce stood on the side of freedom by voting to further enhance concealed carry statutes, bolster self-defense provisions, preserve Missouri's critical wildlife habitat by supporting the Hunting Heritage Protection Areas Act, and was the House sponsor for Missouri's Emergency Powers Protection Act "Katina Law", which was signed into law by Governor Matt Blunt at the NRA's 2007 Annual Meeting in St. Louis. This critically important measure ensures that law-abiding Missourians will not have their firearms confiscated during a state of emergency or disaster.
