Edna Irene Ramage
Edna Irene Ramage, 79, of Rich Hill, passed away, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at her home. Edna was born April 3, 1929, to Robert and Grace (Cramer) Spawn, in Amoret, Mo. She attended first and second grades in Mulberry Country School, later moving to Rich Hill, and graduating from Stotesbury High School.
Edna was united in marriage to Bill Ramage, on April 2, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo.; to this union two children were born, James Dale and Deborah Ann. Edna and Bill lived in Richards for 21 years then moved back to Rich Hill. She worked at Medical Lodge, in Fort Scott, and Butler as a CNA, retiring in 1991.
She enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. Edna attended the Rich Hill Christian Church until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister. Mildred Lot; brothers, Arthur and Glen Spawn. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Ramage, of the home; son, Jim Ramage, Rich Hill; daughter, Debbie Lefevre, of Nevada; four grandchildren, Donald Ramage and wife Denise, or Rich Hill, Jonothan Ramage, of Clinton, Mo., Michael Lefevre, and Kacy Lefevre, of Nevada; three great-grandchildren, Makayla and Madison Lefevre, of Nevada, Dara Ramage, of Rich Hill; brother Fred Spawn and his wife Carol, of Camdenton, Mo.; sister Georgia DeVrise and her husband Earl, of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother-in-laws, Larry Ramage, and his wife Wilma, of Rich Hill, Gary Ramage and his wife Alice, of Nevada; sister-in-law Bonnie Koehn and her husband Wayne, of Rich Hill; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m., at Heuser Funeral Home, with Bill Perkey and Michael McKinney officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, in Rich Hill.
