Gordon H. Chrisenberry Jr.
Gordon was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Nevada, Mo., the son of Gordon Harold Chrisenberry Sr. and Hazel Gossett Chrisenberry. He attended school in Nevada, graduating from high school in 1943. He entered the United States Army in June of 1944, serving about 3 years in Italy. After returning home, Gordon joined the Missouri National Gaurd, retiring in 1984 as a 1st Lieutenant.
He was a truck driver, farmer, and self-employed tractor machanic. He was an avid I.H. Collector, restoring all his antique tractors. He was a member of Holden V.F.W., Memorial Post No. 5844; Munday-Hancock Post No. 90 of the American Legion, and a number of tractor clubs, including serving as president of the Missouri I.H. Chapter No. 1, for a number of years. He also enjoyed going camping with his family and friends.
On July 10, 1970, Gordon was united in marriage to Reva, who survives. Also surviving are seven children, Harold and Leta Chrisenberry, Marvin Chrisenberry, Mitch and Debbra Chrisenberry, Dianna and Duane Milburn and Arrin and D.L. Crust; 16 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pat Chrisenberry; three nieces; father-in-law, Reeves Geary, and numerous relatives and friends. Gordong was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob; and a nephew, Larry Chrisenberry.
He was laid to rest Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Bear Creek Cemetery, in rural Holden, Mo.
