Nevada Middle School wrestlers continue strong season

The Nevada Middle School wrestling team had another strong performance s they squared off against Webb City and Adrian Monday evening.
Nevada won 20 of 32 matches on the night and gave head coach Terry Hancock a lot to be happy about. ""It was a very good night," Hancock said. "I think they've improved by leaps and bounds."
Nevada scored individual wins by Jacob Maus, True Beisly, Anthony Franco, Brady Denney, Trynce Brandt, Colby Smith, Josh Stephens, Quinton Jacobs, Tucker Wingert, Reed Hardin, Josh McDowell, Jonathan Ireland and Cody Foster on the night, as well as having a number of wrestlers with multiple match wins.
"I'm surprised they look as well as they do," Hancock said. Hancock spoke very highly of his entire team, but gave special praise to the performances of a couple of individuals. True Beisly and Brady Denney, Hancock said, put on very strong performances on the night and was very impressed with the overall level of improvement that the team has shown in such a short time.
Beisly was among those who earned multiple match wins on the night and Denney suffered a loss in one of his matches, but still put on a very impressive performance.
Not only did Hancock give tremendous credit to his own team, but stressed the fact that both Webb City and Adrian brought in very strong teams of their own. Adrian only came with seven wrestlers, but none of the members of their team gave anything short of impressive performances.
Hancock also said that he was very impressed with the performance that his team put on at the Seneca tournament on Saturday, noting that their performance would still be impressive in his mind if it didn't continue to improve at this rate. "I will be pleased if they look the same tomorrow as they did tonight," he said.
Nevada's wrestling team is scheduled to be in action again tonight as they host Joplin and Hancock only hopes that they can continue the very strong performances shown thus far this season.
