David Scott Tipling
Scott was born on June 3, 1969, in Kansas City, Mo., and died peacefully in his sleep, on Dec. 2, 2008, in Kansas City, Kan. He attended school in several towns and graduated from high school in 1987, at Rich Hill.
During those earlier years, Scott came to know many people from all walks of life. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He was especially kind to older adults and would go around the neighborhood, and check on them and their health. Scott had a deep love for his family and was always there when they needed him.
Scott loved to fish and could catch them when nobody else was having any luck.
After high school graduation, Scott went to work for National Art Supply. Some years later, he graduated from Barbering School and became a barber in the Kansas City area, and had been at Southwest Barber Shop in Waldo for the past several years.
Scott's mother, Ruby Tipling, preceded him in death in November 2004. He leaves in this world his father, James Tipling and step mother, Martha Tipling; a sister, Andrea Foulkes; two half-sisters, Margo Shull and Terry Malesky, and two step sisters, Misty McGraw and Stormy Moore, as well as, his brothers-in-law, six nephews, one niece, and many other family members that will miss him greatly.
Because of his desire to be friends with everyone he met, there will be many people who miss his cheerful greetings and sincere desire to please them.
Scott will be cremated and a memorial gathering will be held in his honor at the Doubletree Hotel, 10100 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS 66210, on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at 1 p.m.
