Janice LaDene Robertson

Janice LaDene Robertson, 80, Nevada, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at her home in Nevada. She was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo., to Earl Berry and Carrie Long Berry. She married Wayne F. Robertson in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1991.

Janice grew up in and attended school in the Kansas City area. She and her husband came here in 1964. She worked at the Nevada Habilitation Center more than 25 years until her retirement in 1994.

Survivors include seven sons, Charles Douglas, Nevada, Gary Douglas, Casey, Ill., Jim Douglas, Moundville, Mo., Don Douglas, Nevada, Bob Douglas, Laloop, Kan., Mike Douglas, Wellsville, Kan., and John Robertson, Nevada; two daughters, Sally Williams, Nevada, and Mary Ann Rushing, Wellsville, Kan.; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Arnold, Shawnee, Kan., and one brother, Paul Berry, Kansas City, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Robertson; one brother, John Berry, and one infant grandson.

No services are planned. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Those who wish may contribute to the National Kidney Foundation in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
