Tiger golfers compete at Miami
The Nevada Tigers golf team competed in their third tournament of the year on Monday as they traveled to Miami, Okla.
As a team, the Tigers finished 14th of the 24 schools in attendance, with a final team score of 383, 50 strokes off of the winning score, set by Joplin. The Tigers got one very strong individual performance as well, as senior Tyler Gast put up an overall score of 80, good for fourth place and just three strokes behind the overall best score of 77 that was set by Mt. Vernon's Eric Wilmoth and Joplin's Cooper Craig.
Joseph Ferry and Kenny Hill tied three other players for 65th with a score of 98, while Justin Carter tied for 91st at 107 and Raymond Griffin finished out the day tied for 98th with a score of 110.
Nevada's JV golfers will be in action again on Thursday, hosting Girard, and the varsity will head to El Dorado Springs next Tuesday, April 7.
