Sporting events rescheduled
The Nevada Tigers baseball team will be making up their first two games that were forced to be postponed due to wet weather.
The first game of the year that was scheduled to be played in Joplin on March 26, has been moved to Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m. The second game of the season, scheduled for March 28, at Sherwood High School has been moved to Wednesday, April 29, at 4 p.m.
That contest will now feature the varsity team only.
The Tigers are scheduled to be in action at home today, as they face the St. Mary's Colgan Panthers at 4:30 p.m.
The Cottey College Comets softball team had a rain out of their own that has been rescheduled as well. The home doubleheader that was scheduled for March 26, against North Arkansas College has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at 1 p.m.
The Comets are scheduled to travel to Fort Scott Community College on Thursday, before returning home to play Mineral Area College, Coffeyville Community College and the make-up game against North Arkansas.
