Real men can wear pink
David Hope and John Hammock of Vroom Racing have joined forces with Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, BCFO, Springfield, Mo. Hope will wear the Pink Ribbon for BCFO while competing in the Pro Stock Motorcycle class of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.
Hope came up with the idea of sharing a marketing program with a non-profit for Vroom Racing. "With the economy so unpredictable right now, we realized that a joint venture with such a great organization that serves our regional area would be a positive experience for both Vroom Racing and BCFO."
Hope goes on to say, "Our family business, Nevada Auto Mall is supportive and we will be having a fundraiser in August (when contributions are traditionally low) to kick off the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Nevada Auto mall will be contributing a portion of the cost of every oil change during August. We'll also be selling pink ribbon magnetic decals for BCFO."
Stephanie Lutes, Director of Development for BCFO was thrilled with the idea. "We were kind of taken by surprise. The phone call and information on David Hope came at a great time in our fund raising efforts. Hope and Hammock will be at our office on April 28, to show us the new bike graphics and their NHRA race rig, we're excited."
