Jakadeene Doman
Jakadeene Doman was born March 30, 1922, the fourth daughter of Charles E. and Daisy M. (Vantellman) Haggard. She went to meet her Savior on April 3, 2009, at the Community Springs Healthcare Center at the age of 87 years and four days.
Jakadeene graduated from Schell City High School and resided in this area all of her life. On Feb. 3, 1946, she was united in marriage to Glenn Doman after he had returned from World War II. She was a housewife, a mother, and a helpmate to Glenn on the farm. Jakadeene and Glenn enjoyed 48 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 17, 1994. She was an active member of the Blue Mound Baptist Church, Belvior Community Club, and lived her religion everyday.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Stock and her husband Bill of Whealon, Ill.; and Paulette Osburn and her husband Elmer, of Schell City; four granddaughters, Christy and Kim Stock, of Illinois, Paula Johnson and her husband Duane, of Schell City, and Diane Moore and her husband Bill, of El Dorado Springs; four great-grandchildren, Waylon, Dalton, Harley, and Colt Johnson; one nephew, Ervin N. Goodman and his wife Carolyn; one niece, Charlene Morris and her husband Darrell; and numerous great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins. Aside from her husband, Jakadeene was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Margaret Smith, Sara Etta Tillery, and Violet Goodman; and two nephews, Charles and Larry Dean Goodman.
Funeral services for Jakadeene Doman will be held at 11 a.m., today, at Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, in Schell City with Tom Crane officiating. Musical selections were provided by David Souza and Kelly Davis. Pallbearers are: Ervin Goodman, Ed Goodman, Tom Highfill, Terry Smith, Dennis Vantellman, Doug Vantellman, Larry Applegate, and Rob McKinney. Interment was in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements for Jakadeene Doman were entrusted to the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, in Schell City.
