Curtis Edwin Stoner
Curtis Edwin Stoner, 48, Nevada, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009, at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. He was born July 14, 1960, in Twentynine Palms, Calif., to James Edwin Stoner and Betty Jo Thomas Stoner.
Curtis was the son of a Marine and lived in various places throughout his life prior to graduating from high school in Puerto Rico. He came to Nevada from Puerto Rico in 1978. Curtis worked for Norman Sheet Metal for 28 years and most recently as Plant Supervisor. He loved fishing.
Survivors include one son, Adam Bryant Stoner, Warner Robins, Ga.; one daughter, Jennifer Marie Stoner, Nevada; his parents, James and Betty Jo Stoner, Grain Valley, Mo.; brothers and sisters, Terri Hebner and her husband Admiral Scott Hebner, Coronado, Calif., Mark Stoner and his wife Cheryl, Jefferson City, Mo., Allan Stoner, Kansas City, Kan., Tammy Phelps and her husband Jim, Nevada, William Travis Stoner, Buckner, Mo., and Noah W. Stoner, Jessup, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, May 20, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with pastor Terry Mosher officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, May 19, at the funeral home.
