The Nevada Neptunes participated in their first swim meet of the season on May 30 in Lamar, with 10 teams participating in the event. The Neptunes had a successful day, placing fourth in the women's division and sixth in the men's division, respectfully. The Neptunes placed third overall in the team competition, which includes combined scores from both the women's and men's divisions. Swimmers competed in both individual events and team relay events. Medals were awarded to individuals who placed first, second and third place in individual and relay events. Ribbons were awarded to fourth through seventh places. Medalists included the following swimmers: Jake Asberry, Jesse Claypool, Peyton Claypool, Ashton Eador, Dalton Eador, Morgan Ernsbarger, Garett Forrester, Katie Kearbey, Andrew Messick, Grant Miller, Elizabeth Prewitt, Thomas Prewitt, Hunter Richmond, Kaitlyn Richmond, and Jana Scotten. The Neptunes will host their annual Nevada Invitational swim meet this weekend, June 13 and 14, at Walton Family Aquatic Center in Nevada. The Neptunes are expecting 350-400 swimmers and 10 teams to attend the meet. Competition will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday and 10:30 a.m., Sunday. --Submitted Photo
