Dean Harth
Dean Harth, 59, Nevada, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009, at his home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. He was born May 21, 1950, in Nevada, to Delbert Ivan Harth and Opal Belle Livingston Harth. He married Pamela Mantooth on May 24, 1968, in Fort Scott.
Dean grew up in Richards, Mo., and attended Richards High School. He drove a truck all of his life and was owner/operator of his own trucking business. He operated Dean's Small Engine Sales and Service in Fort Scott for a number of years.
Survivors in addition to his wife Pamela include three children, Cynthia Brown, Nevada, Michael Harth, Nevada, and Angela Proctor and her husband Raymond, Nevada; his father, Delbert Harth, Cortez, Colo.; grandchildren, Jessica and Trevor Brown, Tonya Kerr, Kendra, Emily and Hayden Harth, and Nicholas and Chandler Proctor; 14 nieces and nephews; one sister, Marie Wiley and her husband Dale, Fort Scott, and two brothers, Wayne Harth and his wife Elaine, Richards, and Troy Harth, Deerfield, Mo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Harth; one daughter, Lisa Thurman in 2001, and one sister, Wenona Wagner.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 20, at Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield, Mo., with Brian and Peggy Keith officiating. The family receives friends 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening, June 19, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
