Genealogical Society plans research trip

Tri-County Genealogical Society meeting, 10 a.m., El Dorado Springs Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, 302 Hospital Rd., El Dorado Springs. Guest speaker Ellen Miller, reference assistant at the Midwest Genealogy Center, Independence, will talk about how to prepare for a Sept. 21 family history research trip to the new genealogy center. The program is open to the public and there is no fee.

A research trip to Midwest Genealogy Center (formerly Mid-Continent Genealogy Library) on Sept. 21 is open to all area family history researchers. Persons needing bus transportation for the day trip must make reservations in advance by paying a $35 bus fee at the Aug. 8 meeting.
