Concert series continues with Meyer Bluegrass Band
The Meyer Bluegrass Band, a family of musicians from age 10 to 18, are featured at the fourth event in the Spring City Revitalization Group and the city of El Dorado Springs Summer Concert series.
"If you like bluegrass and gospel, you're in for a real treat," Jackson Tough, marketing and events coordinator for the group, said. "The grilling starts about 6 p.m., the Meyer Bluegrass Band takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. and the Municipal Band will perform in the Sunderwirth Bandstand at 8 p.m."
Tough said the event would also be a tribute to nurses.
"This Saturday we will salute our nurses," Tough said. "These fine folks will receive a free combo meal off the grill and the recognition they deserve."
Tough said people should prepare themselves for upcoming events:
* Main Street Farmers Market every Saturday - 7 a.m.
* The Local Gospel Showcase, Saturday Aug. 22.
* The 5th Annual Spring City Chili Cookoff, Saturday, Oct. 17, Spring Street and in the park.
